Advertiser Disclosure
The short version
- Kreds makes money two ways: membership, and commissions when you apply for a card through an Apply button and are approved.
- Commissions never change which card Kreds recommends or how cards are ranked.
- The only thing we send an affiliate network is a random click ID. Never your name, email, or wallet.
How Kreds makes money
Kreds is built by Alpha Original LLC. We earn revenue from the Kreds Membership subscription sold through the App Store, and from referral commissions: when you tap Apply on a card in the app and the issuer approves your application, an affiliate network we work with may pay us a fixed commission. We are not paid for showing a card, ranking it, or for clicks that don't lead to an approval. Some Apply buttons link straight to the issuer's own application page instead; Kreds earns nothing from those, and the app says so under the button.
What a referral is
Some cards you don't hold show an Apply button. Tapping it opens the card issuer's own website in a secure browser view inside the app. Everything after that, including the application form, the credit decision, and the account, is between you and the issuer. Kreds never sees your application or its outcome beyond an approved/declined signal reported by the network for payout purposes.
What it does not change
- Recommendations are computed on your phone from published reward rates, your spending, and the cards you hold. The ranking code has no knowledge of commissions.
- Cards with no commission are shown, described, and ranked exactly the same way as cards with one.
- We do not accept payment to feature, boost, or hide any card, and we do not remove a card from the catalog because it doesn't pay a commission.
- Reward rates, fees, and welcome offers are the issuer's; Kreds shows what is published and can be out of date. The issuer's site is always authoritative, and we say so next to every Apply button.
What we send to the network
When you tap Apply, Kreds Cloud creates a random click identifier and includes it in the link that opens the issuer's site. That identifier is the only thing the network receives from us. It is not your name, email, Apple ID, device ID, or anything about your wallet. If you are approved, the network reports the approval against that identifier so we can reconcile our payout. Details of what we store are in the Privacy Policy.
Who we work with
Kreds participates in affiliate programs operated by third-party networks, currently FlexOffers and Fintel Connect, which hold agreements with card issuers. Kreds is not endorsed by or sponsored by any card issuer or payment network. Card names and issuer names belong to their owners and are used only to identify products.
